Welcome to House Plans from Draftsman LLC (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By accessing this website or purchasing any services, plans, drawings, renderings, or digital products from the Company, you agree to be bound by the following Terms & Conditions.

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use this website or purchase services from the Company.

1. Services Provided

The Company provides residential drafting services, house plans, site plans, renderings, design consultations, construction-related drafting documents, and related digital products.

All services are subject to availability and may be modified or discontinued without notice.

2. Intellectual Property Rights

All content created by the Company, including but not limited to:

• floor plans,
• elevations,
• renderings,
• construction drawings,
• logos,
• graphics,
• text,
• digital downloads,
• website content, and
• marketing materials

remain the sole intellectual property of the Company unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Purchase of plans or drafting services grants the customer a limited, non-transferable license for approved project use only.

Customers may not:

• reproduce,
• redistribute,
• resell,
• publish,
• modify for resale, or
• commercially duplicate

any materials without prior written consent from the Company.

3. Plan Usage License

Unless otherwise stated in writing, all plan purchases are licensed for one-time construction use only.

Additional builds, reproductions, or commercial reuse require written authorization and may require additional licensing fees.

Electronic files may not be shared publicly or distributed to third parties except as necessary for permitting, engineering, or construction purposes related to the approved project.

4. Revisions & Modifications

Drafting packages include only the revisions specifically stated in the customer’s agreement or invoice.

Additional revisions, redesigns, structural changes, or customer-requested modifications beyond the included scope may result in additional charges.

The Company reserves the right to refuse excessive or unreasonable revision requests.

5. Payments & Deposits

Payment terms are established within each individual proposal, invoice, or agreement.

Deposits may be required before work begins. Failure to make payments when due may result in:

• suspension of work,
• withholding of deliverables,
• cancellation of services, or
• additional fees.

All completed digital deliverables remain the property of the Company until paid in full.

6. Refund Policy

Due to the custom nature of drafting and design services, all deposits and payments are generally non-refundable once work has commenced.

Digital products, downloadable plans, and completed drafting files are non-refundable after delivery.

Refund requests are reviewed solely at the discretion of the Company.

7. Construction & Engineering Responsibility

The Company provides drafting and design services only and does not guarantee:

• permit approval,
• engineering compliance,
• structural performance,
• site suitability, or
• contractor workmanship.

Customers are responsible for:

• verifying local building codes,
• obtaining permits,
• HOA/ACC approvals,
• engineering requirements,
• zoning compliance, and
• final construction verification.

Structural engineering, truss design, HVAC design, electrical engineering, and other specialty engineering may require separate professional review.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Company shall not be liable for:

• indirect damages,
• incidental damages,
• project delays,
• lost profits,
• construction defects,
• permit denials,
• code interpretation issues, or
• contractor errors.

The Company’s total liability for any claim shall not exceed the total amount paid directly to the Company for the applicable service.

9. Website Use

Users agree not to:

• misuse the website,
• attempt unauthorized access,
• distribute malicious software,
• copy website content without permission, or
• interfere with website functionality.

The Company reserves the right to terminate access to users who violate these Terms.

10. Third-Party Links

This website may contain links to third-party websites or services. The Company is not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third-party websites.

11. No Professional Legal Advice

Information provided on this website is for informational purposes only and does not constitute legal, engineering, financial, or professional advice.

12. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from the use of this website or services shall be resolved in the appropriate courts located within Illinois.

13. Changes to Terms

The Company reserves the right to update or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice.

Continued use of the website constitutes acceptance of any revised Terms.
